Happy Thanksgiving

Me (5 months), Bryce (7), Savannah (1), Silas (5), Aidan (2)

My first Thanksgiving was lots of fun. We went to Neena's house for lunch, where everyone got to eat food but me. I did get to have a big bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, so I wasn't too hungry. Those sweet potatoes sure looked good. Mom says Neena is a really good cook and that next year I can eat whatever I want.

After lunch I got to spend time playing with my cousins, who are all very nice to me. We were having fun until Aunt Dana made us pose for group pictures. Savannah didn't like it at all, and we never could get everyone to look at the same camera at the same time. I still think this is a nice shot of all of us.

Teething

I now have two bottom teeth to show off. Even though the doctor told mom I wouldn't teethe until I was about 7 months old, I showed him! The last week of October I did a lot of fussing and chewing on my hands, and then one Saturday morning, Mom found a tiny little tooth crowning in my bottom gums. I got a second tooth just two weeks later. Now all I can do is chew on everything I can get my hands on - blankets, dad's finger, my binky, and boy is this teething ring yummy. Can't wait to use these teeth to chew on some food! I'm going to keep practicing for now !

Party time

My cousin Savannah turned one on November 10, and we celebrated at McDonald's. I was excited to attend my first real birthday party. It was lots of fun, but I was disappointed I wasn't allowed to have any birthday cake. It looked so good, and Savannah kept taunting me with all that yummy looking icing. I can't WAIT to have my own cake.... and eat it, too! Cousin Bryce, can I have bite, please?

Look - I can hold this!

This week I figured out how I can hold things with both hands! I'm so excited my hands work like this, because this bottle is amazing. Now, if I could just figure out how to get some water out of here.

Halloween

For Halloween, mom and dad dressed me as a baby caterpillar. Mom likes to joke that she spent $25 on my costume, had to wait excitedly for 30 days to put me in it, and that I wore it for a total of 7 minutes before I wanted to get out of it! But she says the pictures are priceless. Do you agree?

Homecoming Week

We celebrated Gallatin's homecoming last week at day care, and my teachers had me dress up in a different themed outfits Wednesday through Friday. Wednesday was silly day, and boy was I silly!













On Thursday, we wore our favorite sports team outfit. Look at me in my Titans gear!










And on Friday, we wore Green and Gold in honor of the Green Wave. I wore all gold! It was cold outside on Friday, so I had to wear my new fleece jacket.

Fall is here!

Mommy and Daddy took me to Gentry Farm in Franklin on Saturday. We went with my cousins Bryce, Silas, Aidan and Savannah, and Uncle Cody, Aunt Dana and Uncle John and Neena! We had a big time.

Even though I wasn't big enough to ride the tire swings like the other boys, I still had fun following them through the corn maze and watching them play with corn in the grain troughs. I also enjoyed looking in on the chickens and homing pigeons in their coops. Birds sure are dirty!

I especially liked picking out our pumpkins. We bought a big pumpkin for Daddy, a medium sized pumpkin for Mommy, and a little baby one for me! I can't wait to go to Gentry Farm again next year when I can keep up with all my cousins.

I'm a Waterbaby

Mom and Dad were eagerly awaiting my six-week birthday so they could finally take me to the pool. All this past weekend they looked forward to our big pool adventure, but just as mom and dad starting getting everything ready to go, I decided I needed a nap. I hadn't had one all day, of course, because when mom and dad are both home on the weekends, I don't want to miss anything fun.

As I was resting, mom and dad were trying to decide... sleep? or swim? They decided I could sleep any old time, so we went swimming!

Mom and dad put me in my carrier and drove me to the pool at Fairvue. While it took me a few minutes to wake up and figure out where I was, I quickly became intrigued by all the bright colors and sounds and before I knew it, my little frog legs were gliding through the water. (Frog legs - definition - the legs of a baby whose torso is long, legs are short, and feet kick out like a little uncoordinated frog, like mine).

So it's official, I'm a waterbaby. Now I can't wait for my first boating adventure with Annie and Ru.

My birthday!

I was born on Wednesday, June 14 - my due date! I weighed 7 lbs and 12 oz, and was 20 inches long. My grandmother Neena, Aunt Dana and Daddy were all there to greet me when I arrived. Later that day, I received several visitors, my grandfather Pa and Lolo, and my grandparents Annie and Ru. My Aunt Tawnya and Uncle Lyle came to visit, as well as my "Aunt" Lydia, who talked to me a lot while I was in mommy's tummy. My mom's friend Kristi also came to see me and took lots of pictures and brought me a present. I'm so lucky to have so many friends and family excited to meet me.
